On Wednesday, (04/09), the Statistics of Ambon Municipality held a training session for prospective field officers of the National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) for the Social, Cultural, and Housing Module (MSBP) and the Quarterly Household Economic Survey (Seruti) for the Third Quarter of 2024. This training took place over three effective days, ending on Friday, September 6, 2024, at the Amaris Hotel.
The training aimed to align concepts and definitions related to Susenas MSBP and Seruti, as well as to equip officers with communication and coordination skills for fieldwork.
The event was officially opened by the Head of the Statistics of Maluku Province, Mrs. Maritje Pattiwaelapia, SE, M.Si, and was also attended by the Head of the Statistics of Ambon Municipality and the Senior Functional Statistician, who serves as the Head of the Social Team at the Maluku Provincial Statistics Office. In her opening remarks, Mrs. Itje emphasized the importance of data quality, particularly Poverty Data, which is highly anticipated by the local government. All field officers are expected to conduct in-depth probing during interviews to ensure an accurate portrayal of the socio-economic conditions of the sampled households. She also highlighted the significance of Susenas MSBP data, which produces various indices that can be used for policymaking, especially in the fields of Social Affairs, Education, and Culture.
This event is expected to enhance the competence of Susenas MSBP and Seruti 2024 officers in carrying out their field duties.
