On Monday (29/4/2024), the Acting Mayor of Ambon, Bodewin Wattimena, officially opened the Planning Development Forum (Musrenbang) for the Regional Government Work Plan (RKPD) of Ambon City for the Year 2025. The event was attended by approximately 200 participants, including heads of government agencies, district heads, village heads, local leaders, members of the Ambon City legislature, and other relevant stakeholders.
In his speech, Bodewin Wattimena presented several strategic data points generated by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) to be used as references in determining the direction of development policies, such as inflation rates, economic growth, and the Human Development Index in Ambon City. He hoped that all Musrenbang participants would provide input and suggestions, collaborate, and work together to address the challenges in the development process of Ambon City.
"Our hope is that in Ambon City in 2025, we will promote consistency and integration among regional agencies and all stakeholders so that the development planning of Ambon City can provide maximum benefits for the welfare of the Ambonese people," he stated.
The Ambon City BPS was also requested to present material related to the One Data Indonesia initiative during one of the Musrenbang sessions. The material was delivered by the Head of Ambon City BPS, Chaterina H Persulessy. The realization of the principles of One Data Indonesia is expected to produce sectoral data produced by Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPDs) with high quality and standards, thus supporting the planning, implementation, evaluation, and control of development.
