Human Development Index of Ambon Municipality 2019

Human development does not only place humans as objects of development, but becomes the subject of development itself. Human development focuses on improving the quality of human life and not merely pursuing economic achievements. The Human Development Index (HDI) is a measure that specifically describes the achievement of human development based on a number of basic components of quality of life. The HDI for Ambon City in 2019 was 80.81, increase 0.57 points from the previous year. This increase shows the progress of development, especially in the fields of health and education as a component of HDI which increased higher than the purchasing power component.
