Strategic Plan for Statistic of Ambon Municipality 2020-2024

Law No. 16 of 1997 and Government Regulation No. 51 of 1999, states that the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) is a government institution that has the authority to conduct statistical activities in the form of censuses and surveys, to produce data and statistics needed by the government, private sector and the general public. As a reference in planning, monitoring and evaluating development outcomes, the provision of quality statistical data is crucial because it will have an impact on the effectiveness of the decisions made. Therefore, good planning is needed to determine the right policy and strategy direction in achieving the goals and realizing the BPS vision.Entering the medium-term national development in the 2020-2024 period, BPS still holds a strategic position as an institution responsible for providing quality statistical data, as well as carrying out its role as a supervisor and coordinator of statistical activities in the framework of developing the National Statistics System (SSN) more effectively . As an initial step in an effort to carry out its role, BPS has compiled BPS Strategic Plan (Renstra) for 2020-2024 which is a statistical planning document for the next 5 (five) years.
