Abstract

Maluku's exports in August 2023 reached US$ 0.98 million or decreased by around 83.58 percent compared to July 2023.
  • Cumulatively, Maluku's export value from January to August 2023 was US$ 47.33 million or a decrease of around 2.67 percent compared to the same period in 2022.
  • Maluku's exports in August 2023 will come from the non-oil and gas sector.
  • Maluku's export destination countries in August 2023 are Singapore, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Japan and the United States. The largest export was to Vietnam worth US$ 0.29 million.
  • The total export value of commodities from Maluku exported from ports outside Maluku in August 2023 reached US$ 1.68 million or down 72.56 percent compared to July 2023.
  • Cumulatively, the export value of commodities from Maluku exported through ports outside Maluku from January to August 2023 reached US$ 31.55 million or an increase of around 47.18 percent compared to the same period in 2022.
  • Maluku imports in August 2023 reached US$ 27.64 million or an increase of around 59.03 percent compared to imports in July 2023 (US$ 17.38 million).
  • Cumulatively, the import value from January to August 2023 reached US$ 150.72 million or an increase of around 14.03 percent compared to the same period in 2022.
