Abstract

Farmer's Exchange Rate Index (NTP) is the ratio of the price index received by farmers (It) to the index of price paid by farmers (Ib).
  • The Farmer's Exchange Rate (NTP) of Maluku Province in May 2021 was 99.97, down 0.20 percent compared to April 2021 which was recorded at 100.17. The decrease in FTT was caused by the index of the price paid by farmers (Ib) which recorded an increase of 0.81 percent, exceeding the increase in the price of agricultural products (It) of 0.61 percent.
  • In May 2021, Maluku Province was ranked 21st out of 34 provinces with an NTP of 99.97. The highest NTP occurred in Riau Province at 135.13; while the lowest NTP occurred in the province of Bali at 91.93.
  • There are two sub-sectors that experienced a decrease in FTT, namely the food crops sub-sector (-0.78 percent) and the horticulture sub-sector (-3.77 percent). Meanwhile, three other sub-sectors experienced an increase in FTT, namely the people's plantation sub-sector (0.43 percent), the livestock sub-sector (1.83 percent) and the fisheries sub-sector (2.28 percent).
  • In May 2021, there was an increase in IKRT by 0.89 percent. The increase in IKRT was due to the increase in IKRT in the food, beverage and tobacco expenditure group; clothing and footwear; housing, water, electricity and other fuels; health; and personal care and other services.
  • The NTUP of Maluku Province in May 2021 increased by 0.60 percent compared to April 2021, from 104.88 to 105.51.
