Abstract

Farmers Exchange Rate Index (NTP) is the comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).

The Maluku Province Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) in October 2020 was 96.13, or an increase of 0.96 percent compared to September 2020 which was recorded at 95.21. The increase in NTP was caused by the agricultural production price index (It) which was recorded to have increased by 0.70 percent and a decrease in the price index paid by farmers (Ib) by 0.26 percent.

In October 2020 Maluku Province was in 31st position out of 34 provinces with an NTP of 96.13. The highest NTP occurred in Riau Province, amounting to 123.61, while the lowest NTP occurred in Bali Province, amounting to 92.83.

Three sub-sectors experienced an increase in NTP: the food crops sub-sector (1.08 percent), the horticulture sub-sector (1.99 percent), and the smallholder plantation sub-sector (1.07 percent). Meanwhile, two sub-sectors experienced a decline in NTP, namely the livestock sub-sector (-0.28 percent) and the fisheries sub-sector (-0.34 percent).

In October 2020 there was a slight decrease in the IKRT by 0.29 percent. The decrease in the IKRT was caused by the decrease in the IKRT in the expenditure of food, beverages and tobacco; housing, water, electricity and other fuel expenditure groups; as well as recreation, sports and culture.

NTUP Maluku Province in October 2020 experienced an increase of 0.68 percent compared to September 2020, from 99.33 to 100.00.
